Terms of use

Effective: October 1, 2026

These terms cover usetweed.com: its calculators, its guides and the paid Roth conversion plan. Tweed is run by Nicolas Straut, an individual doing business as Tweed, who is the seller of the plan. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Educational estimates, not advice

Tweed's calculators, guides and the Roth conversion plan provide general, educational estimates. They are not financial, tax, or investment advice, and they do not account for every detail of your situation. Nicolas Straut is a personal finance writer, not a financial advisor, CPA or tax preparer. Confirm anything that matters with a qualified professional before you act on it.

The Roth conversion plan fills the tax bracket you choose. It never tells you whether to convert.

Figures and accuracy

Tax, Social Security and Medicare figures come from published IRS, SSA and CMS sources, and each tool page shows the date its figures were last verified. Years after 2026 in the Roth conversion plan use 2026 figures indexed at your inflation assumption, because later figures are not yet published. Tweed corrects errors when it finds them, but it cannot promise that every figure is free of error or that any result will match your actual tax bill.

The free calculators

Every calculator except the ten-year Roth conversion plan is free to use, with no account and no payment.

The Roth conversion plan

The Roth conversion plan is a ten-year plan for 2026 to 2035, built from the inputs you enter. It shows how much to convert each year to fill the bracket you choose, the federal and state tax on each conversion, the Medicare surcharge it sets two years later, your required minimum distributions with and without the plan, and the tax a surviving spouse would face. It comes with a PDF, a spreadsheet and a calendar of deadlines. This year's answer is free on the plan page.

The ten-year plan costs $39, paid once in US dollars through Stripe. It is not a subscription, and there is no recurring charge.

After Stripe confirms your payment, you return to the plan page and the full plan opens there, at a private link. The PDF, spreadsheet and calendar are built in your browser when you download them. If the plan does not open after you pay, use Restore purchase on the plan page, or email [email protected] with your Stripe receipt.

Anyone with the private link can open the plan, so keep it private. Opening the link recalculates the plan with the figures Tweed has on file at that time.

If you are not satisfied with the plan, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund to your original payment method through Stripe. No questions asked. After 14 days, purchases are final, except where the law requires otherwise.

Accounts

The signed-in area is optional. Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email, so keep access to that email secure. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, as the privacy policy explains.

Links and affiliate relationships

Some guides link to third-party products, and Tweed may earn a commission if you sign up through one of those links. Any page carrying one of those links says so at the top of that page. Third-party products are governed by their own terms.

No warranties

The site, its calculators and the Roth conversion plan are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, Tweed makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Tweed's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Tweed in the 12 months before the claim. For the free tools, that amount is $0. Tweed is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

Changes to these terms
