The short version: Tweed's calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into them are never sent to Tweed, never stored on any server, and never sold. Page visits are counted. This page explains both.
What Tweed doesn't collect
When you use a Tweed calculator, everything you enter (your age, balances, contribution amounts, return assumptions, and any other figures) is processed on your own device, in your browser. It is not transmitted to Tweed, and Tweed never sees it or stores it.
What never gets sent anywhere
To be exact about the boundary: the values you type into a calculator are never included in an analytics event, in any form, including rounded, bucketed, or as a range. Tweed records that a calculation happened. It never records what the calculation said.
Data stored only on your device
Tweed does not currently carry figures over between visits or between calculators. Nothing you enter is written to your browser's storage, and closing the tab clears it completely. If a future feature changes that (for example, carrying a balance from one calculator into a related one), that storage will be first-party, scoped to your current visit, and disclosed here, in this section, before it ships.
Analytics
Tweed uses Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use the site, which pages get the most use, and where it can improve. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your device type, browser, approximate location, and the pages you visit.
That information is processed by Google under its own privacy policy, and Tweed uses it only in aggregate to improve the site, never to identify you personally. Google Analytics does not receive anything you type into a calculator.
Google Signals and advertising personalisation are turned off, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
Analytics stays off until you allow it if you are visiting from the UK or the European Economic Area. Everywhere else it is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time using the toggle in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off without you doing anything.
Cookies
Tweed uses cookies set by Google Analytics to measure site usage, for example to tell whether you're a new or returning visitor. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. Tweed sets no advertising cookies of any kind. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the calculators keep working normally either way.
Affiliate links
Some pages may link to third-party products, and Tweed may earn a commission if you sign up through one of those links. Affiliate links are ordinary links; they do not share your calculator inputs or any personal data with the destination.
Children's privacy
Tweed is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site grows. The "last updated" date above changes when it does.
